Jeffrey grew up in Highland, Illinois and currently lives in Chicago with his wife, Denise. He graduated from the University of Missouri — Columbia (A.B.) and from Marquette University School of Law (J.D.). While at Marquette, Jeffrey was awarded the Law Alumni Scholarship as well as the Frisch, Dudek Scholarship.
Jeffrey began practicing consumer bankruptcy law soon after leaving law school. He has the distinction of having personally advised thousands of consumer bankruptcy clients. His practice has involved all aspects of both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy law.

Presently, Jeffrey is a managing partner in the law firm of Macey & Aleman. His practice focuses on representing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy debtors as well as helping manage the Bankruptcy practice group.
